What statistical tests should a researcher use in each example? Why?

Provide two specific examples from a business setting that requires a statistical comparison of two groups. What statistical tests should a researcher use in each example? Why?

Please see the attached example!
As a future healthcare leader, you will present complex information to peers, patients, and leadership. For this assignment, you will imagine that you are a healthcare leader working at the US Department of Veterans Affairs. To complete this assignment you will create a poster board that will be shared at the next American College of Healthcare Executives conference.
Visit the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs website and review the evidence one of the evidence maps. Next, select one of the three articles under Brief Reports.
Mindful Attention Increases and Mediates Psychological Outcomes Following Mantram Repetition Practice in Veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Physical Health, Mental Health, and Utilization of Complementary and Alternative Medicine Services Among Gulf War Veterans
Perceptions of Providers and Administrators in the Veterans Health Administration Regarding Complementary and Alternative Medicine
What is the intended purpose of the study?
How does the research questions/hypotheses address the problem as detailed by the researcher?
How does the content in the purpose statement and research questions define the methodology used in the study?
How was the data collected and analyzed?
What was the benefit of using the selected statistical test?
What was the outcome of the study?
What was the sample population (effect size) and was it adequate?
Once you have reviewed your selected article locate two additional scholarly resources. These resources should be on the same topic that you selected for your article choice and can come from the Purdue Global library or from another reputable resource (CDC or Census.gov).
Using the research that you have gathered create a Poster Board that integrates at least three references. The poster board should include visuals representations of data (tables, charts, etc.). You should also include recommendations for future action based on your research, You will also properly cite any and all references.
Please refer to the resources below for the poster board template and tips on how to create a poster board.

How might this information help us understand the quantitative data better?

This quantitative study was followed up by a focus group conducted in Broward County. The goal of this project was to conduct a thorough assessment for community services and community needs on Nutrition and Fitness. Below are some of the questions and responses from the focus group about physical activity (you can also find responses in this file if you would like to print it for your analysis: Focus group responses.pdfActions ). Using the responses below, conduct a content analysis and write a summary of your methods and conclusions by answering the following questions in a paragraph (8-10 sentences):
A. How did you code your data?
B. What categories did you create?
C. Which categories are most relevant? How are your categories connected or related to each other?
D. Is there a hierarchy among the categories? If so, explain the hierarchy?
E. What is your overall conclusion from the focus group responses?
F. How might this information help us understand the quantitative data better? What were you able to understand from the qualitative data that we would not have understood from the quantitative data alone?
**Remember YOU are the researcher. You have to determine the best way to analyze this data to arrive at a conclusion. There is not necessarily a right or wrong answer. This is to give you practice on how to work with qualitative data. I am checking more so for if you grasp the concept of HOW to analyze the data regardless of the codes, categories, or conclusion as well as how qualitative data can help inform quantitative data.

Is there enough statistical evidence to support the author’s conclusions?

Locate an article that provides statistics on an issue of your choice. Respond to the following questions in a paper.
What is the article trying to say?
What are the key statistics cited?
Is there enough statistical evidence to support the author’s conclusions?
Do you think that the author overstated the issue?
How do you think the statistics used in the article impact perception of the issue?

What percentage of days’ sales would be expected to fall between 3,995 and 5,525 units?

Explain (a) the normal distribution and (b) the Empirical Rule. (See explanation in Empirical Rule folder at the end of module 3).
Assume that the distribution of daily sales for laptop are normally distributed, with a mean of 4760 units and a standard deviation of 510. Answer the following questions:
a. Between what two values would you expect 95% of the days’ sales to fall?
b. What percentage of days’ sales would be expected to fall between 3,995 and 5,525 units?
c. What percentage of days’ sales would be expected to be more than 3,400 units?
d. What percentage of days’ sales would be expected to be more than 5500 units?
e. If you took a sample of 75 days from the previous year and found that 50 of those days had sales that ranged from 3875 to 5325 units , would that be indicate a potential problem with the data? Or would that be in line with your expectations? Explain your rationale for your answer.
In addition, you should create a “cheat sheet” for selecting an appropriate statistical test. Your “cheat sheet” should include information on when you would use the following tests:
Single sample t test
Independent samples t test
Paired samples t test
One-way ANOVA
Factorial ANOVA
ANCOVA
Chi-Square Goodness of Fit
Chi-Square Test of Independence
Pearson Correlation Coefficient
Simple Linear Regression
Multiple Linear Regression
Spearman rho correlation

What is the relative risk of choosing a left-handed female?

Required Resources
Read/review the following resources for this activity:
OpenStax Textbook: Chapter 2, 3
Lesson
Minimum of 1 scholarly source
In your reference for this assignment, be sure to include both your text/class materials AND your outside reading(s).
Initial Post Instructions
Probability plays a major role in the medical community. Diagnoses are based on probabilities. They are really questions or “what if’s”, and are answered by the probability that the treatment will be the best for the ailment.
Let’s look at probability in terms of both the real world and the medical community.
Survey 30 people to find out if they are left-handed or right-handed, and use the following chart to create a contingency table with the information.
Left handed Right handed Total Female Male Total
Answer the following questions about the information in your contingency table:
If a person is randomly selected from the survey participants, what is the probability that the person will be left-handed?
If you randomly choose a female from the people you surveyed, what is the probability that she is left-handed?
What is the odds ratio of choosing a left-handed female?
What is the relative risk of choosing a left-handed female?
Example

Green
Blue
Total
Cats
40 (A)
20 (B)
60 (A+B)
Dogs
30 (C)
40 (D)
70 (C+D)
Total
70 (A+C)
60 (B+D)
130 (A+B+C+D)
Probability of Green – (A+C)/(A+B+C+D): 70/130 = 0.54
Probability of Green Cat – A/(A+B): 40/60 = 0.67
Odds Ratio of Green Cat – (A/B)/(C/D) or AD/BC: (4040)/(2030) = 1600/600 = 2.67
Relative Risk of Green Cat – [A/(A+C)]/[B/(B+D)]: (40/70)/(20/60) = 1.71
Skim through at least one of the following articles on left-handed vs. right-handed people from the Chamberlain Library. Answer the following question: How do the probabilities and percentages for your study compare to those in the study you read?
