This might be a broad overview of some common dental troubles, or more specific into an issue within the population you’ve chosen. ?

WHAT IS MY TOPIC AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT RESEARCHING IT? You will choose a population of your choice to write about their history, viewpoints and practices of dental hygiene. For example, if you choose Colombia and want to write about dental hygiene, your topic and report title might be: The History, Viewpoints, and Practices of Dental Hygiene for the Colombian Population. You can also write about healthcare/dental care among LGBTQ community, the disabled community, people experiencing homelessness, etc. Choose a population that interests you to learn more about. You could cover a range of issues in your chosen population, or you could focus on just one major dental issue for this population. For example, you might want to write about the overall need for all kinds of dental care in the Philippines. WHAT IS THE PROJECT’S DEPTH OF DISCUSSION? You will go greatly in-depth when reporting your findings via your written essay. You have done research and have much to share about what you have learned about your chosen population with regard to their history, viewpoints and practices of dental hygiene or medical care. You will be expected to address the following, sticking to this format, while constructing your essay: Outline Paragraph 1: Introduction ? Identify and give a brief overview of your chosen population, including geographic location or brief general history. ? Offer a statement showing the necessity of this population to receive dental care. Paragraph 2: History / Identification of Rationalization ? A historical synopsis of the population’s socio-economic status, access (or lack of access) to dental care, and accessibility and lifestyle with regard to general oral hygiene. Example 1: Population lives in an impoverished setting and is a poorly educated, under-employed group with neither access to nor regard for westernized dental care or medical care. ? Recognize the reasons, both structural and individual, for the lack of oral hygiene or inaccessibility of medical care within your population. Example 1: Hygienists and dentists are few and far between in the village, sterilization of tools is impossible due to lack of clean water in the village, a religious belief regards teeth cleaning as a in, etc. Example 2: Well-trained and educated doctors and nurses are not common in rural areas for this population, proper routine check-ups or prescription medicine is very hard to come by without traveling a far distance, lack of access to viable, consistent transportation to visit doctors or hospitals, etc. Paragraph 3: Explain and Discuss the Dental/Health Issues ? This might be a broad overview of some common dental troubles, or more specific into an issue within the population you’ve chosen. ? Example 1: In the Philippines, dental care for youth and adults is difficult to come by, and sugary foods and snacks are everywhere. This leads to a multitude of dental issues for children and increases as they go into adulthood without proper care, such as… ? Example 2: According to the research, LGBTQ adults face an increased risk of substance abuse, due to these factors… Paragraph 4: Problem Solving ? How would you, using what you know about a patient’s culture, values, and health history of their population, convince a patient from your population to submit to professional dental care and maintain proper oral hygiene? Or, how would you convince a patient from your assigned population to accept pharmaceutical prescriptions or consent to a procedure that they may be wary about? Example 1: Emphasize the risk of pain that will come if teeth and gums aren’t cared for, explain that oral hygiene and regular dental care is a social norm in America. Example 2: Explain the safety and benefits of necessary medicinal treatments, or the importance of seeing their doctor for regular check-ups. Paragraph 5 Conclusion ? Restate the necessity of this population receiving dental care/ medical care. ? Look to the future. Based on what you’ve researched and learned, what solutions would you advocate to be put in place, both structurally and individually, that could help this population? Laws, policy, educational programs, trainings, more research?

How does efficiency, efficacy, and incentive impact sharing in the digital economy?

In roughly 250 words, answer 1 of the following questions:
How does efficiency, efficacy, and incentive impact sharing in the digital economy?
What are the pros and cons of internet access in increasing economic viability for individuals participating in the Thai silk trade?
Response Posts:
You must also respond to at least (2) of your classmates’ posts. In your response posts, you should substantively address one of the questions from your classmate. You may not answer both questions posed by one of your classmates. In other words, you should attempt to answer one of their discussion questions in approximately 3-4 sentences (one paragraph). The answer to the question posed by classmate may not be easy or simple to answer, and constructing cogent arguments in responding to your peers is part of this assignment. Your responses are as important as your own discussion questions, so please do not neglect them.
You will not be able to respond to your classmates’ posts if you have not submitted an original post of your own. Therefore, in order to receive any points for responses to your classmates’ posts, you must submit an original post for this module. It is not acceptable to repeat information from your original post in your response post to a classmate. Your response posts should propel the conversation started by your classmate forward. Posts such as, “I agree” or “Hello X, I enjoyed your post,” and so forth will receive no credit. Since response posts are a content-based grade, the length matters less than the content. It would, however, be difficult to earn full credit without writing at least three sentences in a response post.
General Assignment Instructions:
Your post should use either APA or ASA style to properly cite the reading both in-line and at the end of your post. Please type your response using correct spelling, grammar, and syntax. Using the built-in spell check feature of the discussion board on Blackboard will help with this.

Describe your own response to the breached folkway.

Section 1 – Your Introductory Paragraph
This is the descriiption of your design. In it you will summarize the ‘who’, ‘what’, ‘where’, ‘when’, and ‘why’ of your decisions. This should contextualize your chosen folkway and how it was broken in the four YouTube videos you chose. The summary you submitted to me for approval should provide a useful starting point for this. Give me the specifics!
Section 2 – What happened / How did people react / Debriefing Responses
Here you will provide an overview of each of the four YouTube videos you chose to review (and which were approved by your instructor) concerning breaking social norms (breaching).
Specifically describe how people reacted to your chosen folkway breach in the videos you selected. What did they say? What did they do nonverbally? In other words, explain what you were able to observe in the videos. Include detail on the reactions of the people in the scene. Were there any consistencies in reactions? Did they differ by age or gender of the person? Also, if the videos showed a debriefing afterwards, where the subjects were made aware of the deliberate breach, what did the subjects say when they were debriefed?
Section 3 – Your feelings about the broken folkway?
Describe your own response to the breached folkway. Exactly what did you learn from the assignment? Is it fine to give you honest view about the breaching exercise. Your grade will be based on the thoroughness of your response and not on whether your response fits into my social world.
Section 4 – Textbook Connections to Sociology!
Here you will demonstrate your ability to think and write like a sociologist. This is where you discuss or interpret what you have observed in terms of what you have learned. In other words, you will need to frame your explanations of the results of your experiment using a sociological perspective or point-of-view. As an individual you might explain the results of your experiment based on your personal opinion by formulating and answering the questions: 1) why do you think people acted as they did, and 2) how do you think you would feel if you were in that situation? The sociologist would discuss the results in terms of sociological theory for example by formulating and answering the questions in terms of Goffman’s dramaturgic theory, e.g. according to Goffman’s dramaturgic theory, why did people react as they did? According to Goffman’s dramaturgic theory, why did you feel as you did? You may use the above example or frame your explanation in a context of your own.
Additionally, you are REQUIRED to make another three (3) textbook connections! This means I want you to 1) identify three (3) specific theories, major concepts, and/or major ideas, 2) define each of them, and 3) explain each of these connections to your breaching experiment! To help you, BOLD FACE these additional three textbook connections!
Be sure to cite the page of the textbook where you found the definition and include quotations around the definition of you are directly quoting from the text. For each definition you should include a source in-text which says (Ferris & Stein, 2014, p.____).
Section 5 – Conclusion
Simply take four (4) sentences or so to highlight the main points of your paper!
Remember to review the Grammar issues indicated earlier in this document!

What stories of life in Pruitt-Igoe are most instructive about public housing?

Learning Goal: I’m working on a sociology question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
First: watch the video and type 2-3 pages of notes on the video. Can be about anything you find useful.
Second: After finishing the documentary, answer these 5 questions below.
The documentary goes into detail about how the Housing Act of 1949 played out in St Louis. Imagine you decide to explain to someone how Pruitt-Igoe is linked to ALL THREE of the Housing Act titles. First, and in your own words, tell me about Title I of the Housing Act of 1949. Then, tell me an example of how you see Title I playing out in St Louis.

The dominant narrative in the United States is that public housing is and has always been a failure, and will always be destined to be a failure. The video counters this, and points to very specific reasons for why the Pruitt-Igoe development (and others like it) failed. Identify and explain two of these reasons.
Much of the movie is told by former residents. What stories of life in Pruitt-Igoe are most instructive about public housing?
I have watched the documentary so I will be able to tell if you googled or used something else! Only use the video for both things please no outside sources!!
