The Singapore Green Plan 2030 is a national movement that seeks to advance Singapore’s agenda on sustainable development. The Green Plan sets out sustainability targets to be achieved over the next 10 years, which will be spearheaded by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of National Development, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Ministry of Transport.

Write an essay on the importance of the Singapore Green Plan 2030. Include the following in your essay:
• Describe the purposes of the Green Plan.
• The Green Plan consists of five pillars including (i) City in Nature and (ii) Sustainable Living. For each of these two pillars (i) and (ii), examine its targets and explain the environmental issues/threats that are tackled by the targets.
• Explain clearly two actions that your current (or previous) company/organization can take to support pillars (i) and (ii) above in the Green Plan. Give reasons for your suggestions.
• The Green Plan is a living plan that will evolve due to technological developments and engagement with different stakeholders. After the Green Plan was introduced in 2021, a series of conversation sessions were held to seek inputs from public members. An online feedback form is also available in the Green Plan’s official website for the public to write in. Suggest one other effective method to increase the awareness of the Green Plan and to gather feedback from the public. Justify your recommendation.
