What are some reasons people would refuse to accept the biosocial perspective on criminology?

(youre gonna respond this question, no citation, your own thoughts) What are some reasons people would refuse to accept the biosocial perspective on criminology?
With the biosocial perspective on criminology being rather new, it can be harder for people to accept the progressive movement of new research methods. Many people like the idea of having “choices” given to them about what “could be” the cause for a particular reason crime exists within one person.
With the biosocial perspective that closes the gap on the “what if’s”. It gives people scientific research based ideas stemming from such things as genetics, complications with birth (in utero or after birth), genetics, hormones and more.
If people are able to get a more specific idea of what causes crime and delinquency within an individual wouldn’t they be more partial to that theory versus a traditional theory?
