This week, after reading about how crime concentrates in space, try to determine the places in your community where crime occurs the most. Use media reporting, police data, or any other source of crime information. Describe the locations and how you determined them to be where most crime occurs.
Then discuss how you interacted with these places before you did this exercise. Were these places you already thought to avoid? Was there already a stigma about these places? Are you surprised to learn these places have more crime?
