First, watch the videos and read the Chapter 13 section “Policing in Texas.” Then answer the following questions. The use of force by police is the most controversial issue involving police in both Texas and the nation. Why do you think the use of force rarely results in consequences for police? Is the use of force always justifiable? What changes could or should be made to existing policies? Explain your answers using supporting evidence from the videos, book, and associated materials.
