Bible:Genesis 9:6;
Romans 13;
Exodus 22:2;
Exodus 21.
A askes B if he can make change for a $100 bill. B agrees and goes into his home in order to make change. B goes upstairs, makes change, and then comes downstairs to find A in his living room. A then points a gun at B and demands the money from him. A reaches for the money and B reaches for the gun. A scuffle ensues. During the scuffle A fires one shot. When the gun fires, B throws the money down and demands that A leave the house. A threatens to kill B and then leaves the house with the money. A is charged with attempted malicious wounding and convicted of the same. Based on the facts above, was A properly convicted of an attempt crime? (*Assume, for purposes of this question, that malicious wounding means to maim, disfigure, disable or kill.*)
